About the Artist
Zim is a long time traveler with the Grateful Dead as a multi-media artist. He has had the pleasure of working with the Dead, with Bill Graham and the Barsotti brothers and with a fine krewe of artists and friends known as the “Art Police,” conceiving and creating props, puppets and parade floats for Mardi Gras, Chinese New Year, and other special events.
Jerrygnome was concieved of while working for Jerry Garcia as his gardener/groundskeeper in the 1990’s. After many years on the back burner, Zim is happy to bring this project to fruition. With the help of friends and family and a sweet photo from Jay Blakesberg’s archives, jerrygnome is here…

About the Piece
This sculpture was lovingly hand crafted in brown Victorian wax and cast at the Artworks Foundry in Berkeley California. Standing at 27″ tall and weighing 26 pounds, it is available in the choice of two custom patinas-traditional bronze “Dark Star” or marblesque “Touch of Grey.”
